Blackcurrant Vanilla and Banana Smoothie
Blackcurrants cut the richness of a milk-based smoothie (while likewise making it look delightful). This is an extraordinary get-up-and-go breakfast.
Ingredients
1 cup Milk, (dairy or non-dairy as you wish; coconut is particularly good)
¾ cup Frozen blackcurrants
1 tsp Vanilla essence
½ Banana, cut into chunks + add to shopping list
Directions
Put all the ingredients in a blender and whiz until the blackcurrants stop rattling.
Scrape down the sides and whiz again. If it seems too thick, add a little more milk.
Pour into a glass and drink immediately.
